3 Ways to Trust the Process

Dec 18, 2022

You hear it all the time, but what does it mean to Trust the Process?

Essentially trusting the process means that everything is working out for your higher good (even when it feels like it isn't)

I'm sitting here curled up on the couch with Brian in our "Christmas" room. It's so cozy and warm. I just put our baby girl down to sleep, and Benji is lying by the fire. I've had tears in my eyes all night because I never thought I'd get here.

Two years ago, around this time, I had a miscarriage, and it rocked me to my core. We were grieving the loss of the future we thought we would have and weren't much in the holiday spirit. It was a very dark time.

I knew the hardship was for me, but it didn't mean I didn't feel a pang whenever I saw babies or new families around the holiday. It was something that we had longed for.

Fast forward to today; this reality is better than anything I could have imagined.

And what did I learn? TRUST THE PROCESS.

I let go. I surrendered the timeline of starting a family, and I trusted in myself.

It's easy to attach to the results we want in our lives and get very impatient, but I've learned that surrendering makes room for things to work out better than you could ever dream up.

Timing is everything.

Life works out in unexpected ways, and those are the best surprises.

Here are three ways to T the P

  1. Focus on what you can control:
  2. Practice thoughts that create patience and allow you to slow down and enjoy the process.
  3. Trust yourself

Trust things will happen for you even if you don't have proof.

Trust you can make mistakes but still create what you want.

Trust that the stuff you say to yourself might not be true (my favorite).
